Women's Winter 2012: Medievalism

Posted by Premal Patel on February 09, 2012 3 Comments

Our Women’s Winter Collection for 2012 is inspired by the Medieval and Early Romanticism.

Think castles and cathedrals, knights and sorceresses, jewels and chivalry.

This collection recalls as much the very architecture as it is does the aesthetic ethos of the Middle Ages. Magentas, purples and rich blues meld sumptuously with the more subdued elegance of coffees, tans and stones, an allusion to the way stain glass windows were so beautifully set in stone façades.

Lush velvets, suedes and leathers smoulder in a collection of dresses, maxi skirts and outerwear that convene to bring to life a vision that has for centuries danced on the pages of fiction literature. A subtle regalness accompanies our Winter 2012 Collection for Women, and the club/event wear cheekily revisits the chicness of Studio 54 (a very different sort of an empire!).

As much as this collection pays tribute to a time gone by, it commemorates modern femininity. The cuts and materials used in each garment speak to a lavishness we know women love, and diverse material and colour accents make each garment a work of its own. This collection is complete with bustiers, dramatic body suits and jewel embellishments, so is a veritable knight's table of mix & match possibilities.

Whether you are queen of the club, princess of the parade or a lady of leisure, this collection is about feeling beautiful, with a pronounced emphasis on quality and adventurous design.

Today’s woman is hardly a damsel in distress, so a unique blend of inspiration and imagination lends to a practical, beautiful and affordable range of garments the modern woman will treasure throughout the ages.

Be your own knight in shining armour with the Premonition Winter 2012 range for Women!

The Modern Vintage: Premonition High Summer

Posted by Premal Patel on November 23, 2011 1 Comment

Our High Summer range for men and women exudes a difference that we at Premonition pride ourselves on. In keeping with a sense of summer - light, fun, comfortable - this range also endeavors to merge art and fashion, recalling the past and applauding the present, so as to create a collection with meaning.

A modern vintage overtone weaves its way through this collection. We see elements of the Roaring Twenties fused with The Sixties, both at the helm of a very now interpretation of what it means to be modern. Vintage style rock wash tees for men give a nod to the 80's, while our dresses heed a whisper from 70's style icons Katharine Hepburn and Bianca Jagger. With pleated baby doll dresses, maxis, high waisted skirts and shorts for women; and suspender shorts, layer singlets and classic shirting for men, this summer is a melting pot of style innovation.

We see old favourites revisited and tweaked, bold new intricacies explored, and a creative and nostalgic dynamism dripping from each especially considered garment.

Pay homage to the last century of fashion while embracing modernity, and make summer 2011/12 one to remember.

Come and sink your teeth into the delicious (and just a little bit sinful!) apple that is the Premonition summer collection!

We all have aspirations. We aspire to be bigger, better, greater and more than we are now.

Without aspiration we are static.
